As we wrap up 2022 and look ahead to 2023, we can't help but think back on how far we've come. We've grown in ways we didn't know possible, and we wouldn't have been able to do it without the support of our wonderful clients, partners, and our team of Savasians. We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts—we could not be where we are today without all of you.
So, on behalf of everyone here at Savas Labs, thank you for being such an important part of our story! And now… let's get ready for 2023!
💪 Featured Work — Knucklebones
We developed a game! Taking inspiration from "Knucklebones" in Cult of the Lamb, we created our own modernized version that allows for two players to battle each other - either on desktop or mobile devices. If you have a spare few minutes during the rest of your holiday break, give it a try!
As a remote company, it's not easy to get together and celebrate the holidays. But we've found a way—and it's pretty amazing.
This year, we had a Secret ‘“Savas” gift exchange. Each staff member was assigned a person to get a gift for. We then had a virtual holiday party where everyone got to open their gifts and guess who their Secret Savas was. It was so much fun to see what everyone got for each other!
📣 Client shoutout - Duke Alumni Magazine
We want to give a massive shoutout to our client Duke Alumni Magazine (DAM), on the launch of their new website and closing out 2022 strong. Earlier this year, the DAM team contacted us to design a digital presence to complement their printed magazine. The site would house articles from the latest issues but have the flexibility to pull in additional content as needed. As a result, we created a visually compelling platform where DAM can share the stories that matter most.
Empathy is a powerful tool for building relationships in the workplace. Our Project Manager Lu Bryant shares how when we practice empathy, we can understand our co-worker's strengths and weaknesses to work collaboratively.
Many of us focus keenly on new year's resolutions that often fall by the wayside come March. Here's an important practice for setting goals that matter to you and how to achieve them.
