At Savas, we may be a remote-first company, but we know the value of showing up. Whether it’s with teammates, clients, or like-minded collaborators, we believe that face-to-face moments spark deeper connections and better outcomes. A study from Harvard Business Review found that 95% of people say face-to-face meetings are key to successful long-term business relationships. That’s why our team is actively participating in events around the globe.
This month, our team hit the road supporting long-time partners, expanding our network, and sharing our expertise. We were proud to be a sponsor at Duke University’s 2025 TechExpo, continuing our longstanding partnership and investing in future innovation. We also attended The Lead Summit in NYC, connecting with leaders across e-commerce, retail, and digital innovation.
Across the Atlantic, our Front-End Development Director led workshops and talks at two NDC Conferences (more to come!), offering hands-on experiences that highlighted the kind of work we do every day at Savas. He even earned praise for delivering a workshop on website accessibility so well that a professional accessibility auditor was surprised it was his first!
What matters to us isn’t just delivering great work, it’s continuing to support the people we work with long after the project ends. Relationships don’t stop when the contract does. They grow, evolve, and keep us coming back together.
If that sounds like a team you’d want to collaborate with, we’d love to connect!
🦉Client Signals:An Insider Look From Our Chief Client Officer (CCO)
Lately, our conversations with clients have been less about big reinventions and more about navigating real constraints and opportunities. A few clear themes are emerging:
Tighter budgets and faster timelines – especially from our nonprofit and higher ed partners, who are feeling increased pressure to deliver meaningful results with fewer resources.
Strategic partnership over pure execution – clients are leaning on us earlier and more often to help shape direction, not just implement solutions.
AI with intention – curiosity around AI is rising, but the questions are practical: “Where can this help us?” and “What’s worth exploring now vs. later?”
These conversations reinforce what we've always believed: the best outcomes come from listening closely, thinking creatively, and moving forward together. We're grateful to partner with organizations doing meaningful work and we're here to help shape what's next. Have a challenge in your organization? Get in touch!
💪 Designing for Excellence in Engineering with Duke Pratt
At Savas, we value long-term collaboration, and our ongoing relationship with Duke University is the perfect example! Our work doesn’t end once the project is launched. We invest in understanding our clients' evolving needs, and in return, they come back to us for strategic, high-impact work time and again. Our history with Duke shows multiple successful projects, sponsorship of the 2025 Duke TechExpo, a strong partnership, and additional projects in the pipeline!
We recently partnered with the Duke Pratt School of Engineering to redesign and rebuild their website. They came to us to build a modern and accessible digital experience that could better serve prospective students, faculty, alumni, and internal staff. From reorganizing content and improving usability to designing a flexible, future-proof front end, the result is a site that reflects the innovation and values of Duke Pratt.
📣 Powering The People's House: Bringing Partnerships In Person with WHHA
During a recent trip to Washington, D.C., one of our Savas PMs met with the White House Historical Association (WHHA) and toured The People’s House museum. It was rewarding seeing the exhibit in person and witnessing the physical counterpart to the digital experience we helped bring to life! This also deepened the collaborative relationship we’ve built with the WHHA team!
For us, strong partnerships don’t end when the website launches. In-person moments like these help ensure the work reflects the true spirit of the project and open the door for even better collaboration ahead. As our PM, Matt Taylor said, “It’s been a pleasure working with the WHHA team. We’re thrilled to be their digital partner and look forward to supporting them in their future digital projects and goals.”
At Savas, our commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences drives everything we do, including how we organize and promote internally. We’re proud to announce we recently promoted Lu Bryant to Lead Project Manager and couldn’t be more excited to have her help lead the department! Her openness to feedback, direct communication, and drive to push projects to the finish line is what stands out to us and our clients. She’s not only a leader within our team but also a trusted partner to ensure our clients feel confident about the direction of their projects. Our growth fuels your growth!
