During last month’s retreat, our team sat down to re-evaluate our business best practices to determine if they were still supportive of our growth. As a team of optimists who take pride in our work, we embrace the need to constantly learn and improve. This moment allowed us to collaborate as a team, and find ways to increase business productivity and performance.
Implementing best practices into your organization can help you efficiently achieve your business goals and create a space your employees are proud to be a part of. There should also be the understanding that best practices are never set in stone, they are fluid and ever-changing to meet the needs of an evolving business.
While there is a lot of effort that goes into developing and maintaining best practices, we hope this edition of our newsletter will inspire you to either re-examine your business's practices or begin the journey of creating your own.
💪 Featured Work — Blokhaus Minterpress Plugin
When start-up company Blokhaus came to us looking for an innovative partner to assist in a cutting-edge Web3 project we knew it was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up. They wanted to find a way to help artists and creators mint, display, and sell their creations as NFTs on their own websites. After a highly collaborative discovery process, we ultimately decided that building a WordPress plugin was the best way to achieve their goal. To make all of this possible, our developers leveraged tools like the Pinata and Taquito APIs to store artists’ NFTs onto IPFS and upload them onto the Tezos Blockchain.
🎟 Upcoming Events — Client-Side Workshops: User Research for Successful Web Projects
How do you figure out what areas of your website need to be updated for user experience? Is there a way to prioritize which updates need to happen in your next product update? How do you get buy-in from your leadership team that a new feature will drive greater user engagement?
You have questions about user research for web projects, and our panel of experts has the answers you can only earn through experience. Join us on Tuesday, July 12th at 11 AM ET for our online workshop: User Research for Successful Web Projects. Our team will walk you through the process of approaching your very own research project with the help of nonprofit veteran and No Kid Hungry Senior Digital Project Manager, Justin Weyman. We’ll provide you with a workbook to use before, during, and after our workshop so that you can map out actions to take moving forward.
Help those within your organization understand how implementing best practices can be an important driver of success.

📣 Client shoutout - Made Trade
Shout out to our new client - Made Trade. Cayley Pater and Andy Ives thought shopping for ethical and sustainable home decor, and clothing should be simple. So in 2018, they created Made Trade and brought the best ethically made and sustainably sourced goods to one place. Every product they carry is rigorously assessed and verified for both sustainability and equity and adheres to at least two of Made Trade's eight core values. We can't wait to share more about our work with this amazing company!
Say hello to Sean O'Shea and Simon Goodwin, our facilitators for the upcoming virtual workshop on July 12th. We asked both of them what excites them the most about the upcoming event and this is what they said:
"So many do-it-yourself digital projects start off on the wrong foot because people have misconceptions about what their users want and need. I'm excited to help people understand what user research is and the positive impact it has on every project."
- Sean O'Shea
"To quote Henry Ford “If I would have asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.” People know what they want, but they don’t always know what they need. User testing helps us find real solutions. I’m excited to help folks understand the various types of user research methods and how best to utilize each one."
- Simon Goodwin
